International Women’s Day Class Policies

We want this event to be friendly, inclusive and safe for all participants. Be nice and be sensible!

You can do this by:

  • Obtaining consent from all new training partners. Consent can be withdrawn at any point.
  • Ensuring continual communication with training partners.
  • Following the safety procedures laid out by the organisers, assistants and instructors.
  • Respectfully listening to the instructors and following their instructions. Please do not deviate from drills as this is not only dangerous but can be seen as very disrespectful.
  • Treating everyone with respect and dignity.

If you notice anyone violating these rules, or anyone is making you feel uncomfortable please immediately come and speak to the instructor they will be able to help.

This event consists of activities that can involve a degree of physical movement. It is important that you understand that there is a small but inherent risk involved in any physical activity or martial art. You are responsible for the safety of yourself and those around you.

You understand that you have voluntarily chosen to participate in physical exercise and acknowledge that you are fit and able to participate to the best of your abilities, and that you have sought relevant medical advice before taking part, and that you have informed the organisers of any relevant conditions, injuries or limitations when booking.

Pictures and videos may be taken of you on the day of the event. These pictures and videos may be used by us for promotional purposes on websites, social media and print media.

If you do not wish to be photographed or videoed in relation to the event it is your duty to make this known to any photographers and videographers present so your face and/or body can be blurred or removed from any images. Please do this as early as possible so they can try to avoid taking any pictures of you in the first instance. Please understand that the minimum we can promise is that you will be blurred or hidden from any images taken.
